Foil is in the arsenal of almost every housewife, but not everyone knows that it can be used not only in cooking but also in other, very unusual ways.
Bake dishes in the oven
The first thing that comes to mind when talking about how to use foil is baking dishes in the oven.
To prevent the pie from burning in the oven, wrap the form in which it is baked with a sheet of foil, bending it so that the edges of the pie are closed.
To sharpen the scissors, fold a piece of foil four times and cut the resulting plate 8-10 times with scissors.
If the scissors are large, then the foil should be rolled several more times. By the way, this method allows you to remove rust from the scissors.
You can fry an egg
If you are tired of washing the pan every time after cooking eggs, put a thin layer of foil on the bottom of the pan and pour the eggs directly on it.
Due to the fact that the foil is a very thin material, the products will be heated evenly and will not burn. By the way, this method can be used in the preparation of other dishes.
If you have to rearrange the furniture, you can make it easier for yourself with the help of foil - fold the foil sheet several times, put it under the legs of the furniture that needs to be moved.
And to prevent the foil from sliding off, wrap the free edges around. But keep in mind that for very heavy furniture, this method will not work - the foil will simply break.
Protect plants from the sun
If there is not enough light for plant growth, then the foil will help to “pull it”: put a sheet of foil on the bottom of a small box, and put seedlings or seedlings on top.
Thus, plants will receive the sunlight they need and grow faster.
Wash things in the washing machine
To prevent things from becoming electrified and collecting all the small debris, hair and animal hair, when washing, put a few tightly rolled foil balls in the drum of the washing machine.
To preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables
Foil will help keep vegetables and fruits fresh as long as possible. Wrap the products in foil and they will lie on the shelf of the refrigerator for at least a week, without losing their “salable” appearance.
And to preserve the freshness of bananas, you need to wrap their tips with foil - this way the moisture will not evaporate and the bananas will ripen much more slowly.
Remove rust from taps
If rust spots have started to appear on your taps, then this unusual method will help you cope with them: take a piece of foil, moisten it with a Coca-cola drink and carefully rub the surface.
After these manipulations, wipe the tap surface with a soft cloth.
Clean grease from dishes
To effectively remove grease from the dishes, you can use a crumpled ball made of foil: it can easily clean the surface of a pan, pot, and other dishes, and it acts quite softly and delicately without leaving scratches.
Put silver items on it and cover them with a layer of soda so that it completely covers them. Pour boiling water into the dishes and wait for the reaction to finish, i.e. until the soda stops sizzling (this is about 10 minutes).
After that take out the products, rinse them with water and dry them. This method is not suitable for jewelry with precious stones.
