The technology market is developing very rapidly in recent years, there are new companies that are becoming leaders. But there are also global brands that once were on everyone's lips, and now some do not even remember them.
I will present you my "top 5" companies that will soon cease to exist in the market of mobile devices (all is my personal opinion, my thoughts after reading please Express in the comments):
I have been using smartphones of this company for 6 years and I am very upset by the fact that the company with such cool ideas cannot compete and the market dictates its rules. Meizu came to the smartphone market a few months after the presentation of the first iPhone, before that the company produced MP3-players. Yes, since then their smartphones have borrowed a lot from Cupertino, but look at the rest! These "monobrow", no 3.5 mm audio jack - Meizu have always been able to surprise was something unique. But, the consumer did not need all their developments, everyone wants top-end iron, for the minimum money and it does not matter that the processor trotlit when viewing Youtube) In 2019, the company closed its office in the Russian Federation and the Chinese government allocated a loan to maintain the company afloat. But to follow the trends in the Chinese market, you need to become the second Xiaomi, and why do you need a second such company?))
This brand was the personification of a smartphone. Their own Android shell, bold design, excellent displays - all these attracted buyers. The company held presentations and training for us, and I am familiar with its products not by hearsay. For a while, I used the HTC Wildfire S myself and was delighted! But, times are changing, HTC, in my opinion, did not have time to rebuild to the needs of the market and go into a more budgetary price segment, as all the Xiaomi do. Of course, Google Pixel, released by HTC on the order of the "corporation of goodness", still supports the memory of the company a little bit, but we hardly can see its own developments of the Taiwan brand.
Another bright representative of the beginning of the 2010s in the market of mobile devices. I myself was the owner of the SonyEricsson Xperia X10 mini pro, which still lies in my desk with a non-working touchpad as a memory) In other industries, the Japanese giant produces extremely successful products, especially I want to highlight their televisions and acoustics. But catch yourself thinking, have you seen friends or just passers-by with a smartphone this brand? I do not even remember. You can find on the store shelves both new and old smartphones (2015! Release year). The Japanese create their creations, but the buyer no longer wants to use a smartphone with a design from 2010, albeit with a great camera and a famous brand. Sony has already closed several factories for assembling smartphones and by the year 2021 may announce a complete roll-out of production.
I am familiar with LG mobile phones from the experience of using the Nexus line. Koreans made beautiful smartphones for Google that are still alive with thrifty users. More, to be honest, I do not remember the LG device market. Looking now at sales and the presence of the brand in large networks, we can safely say that this is the decline of the company in the smartphone market, because after the G5 presented, which never went to the buyers, we no longer saw anything worthwhile.
Yes, Yes, it was the Korean giant, I was not mistaken. You may think I'm crazy, but I'm not. I am sober and responsible for my actions) How can you think so? In each mobile phone store, you will be offered installments, gifts from operators for the purchase and exchange program. That's right. But in 2019, Samsung flew out of the top 10 best-selling brands in the Chinese market. And if you are not selling in China, then everything is very bad for you. And who do you think pushed the Koreans from the 10th line? Let me guide you through its logical chain - the company supplies screens to other manufacturers, RAM, and optics, being practically a monopolist in this market. Why spend money on the expensive development of their devices and fight with competitors in the form of Apple (and the Cupertino buy Samsung displays for the iPhone) and the rest when you can earn money by selling components? The latest flagships since the Galaxy S8 have not been successful in the market, and many still do not want to change their S7 Edge, the phone is really beautiful, the scandals with explosions of batteries on the Note 7, the lack of visible improvements in S8, S9, and now S10 with terrible cut under the camera and horse price tag. This also adds the use of Exynos' own processors in the European and CIS markets, while in the US Samsung supplies devices on the Qualcomm platform, which are more stable and faster in tests. Koreans tried to occupy a niche budget smartphone with its new line of A-series, but for the same money, the Chinese will offer you a more powerful battery, an aluminum case, and a good processor, so why pay more? The company has long stated that the mobile unit does not bring the desired beat and by the year 2022, we can see the latest released smartphone from Samsung.
